You crashed on a (future)giant asteroid with a grappling hook and a gun. Your legs are broken, so your only way of moving yourself is by using the grappling hook. But be aware dangerous enemies are going to try and kill you.

Shoot the grappling hook with RMB, hold RMB to reel in the grappling hook.
